Every Oscar brings a list of movies that (almost aways) don’t pleases the audience and many people takes this opportunity to complain on Twitter. Thinking about it, we created another nicer list for anyone who is Ayrton Senna’s fan, with movies that honored somehow our eternal champion. Enjoy!

1-Driven (2001)

Watch Sylvester Stallone as a competitive retired pilot already worths the session, after all… It’s Sly. But there are small subtleties in this production that were inspired in Ayrton Senna, as the uniform worn by the protagonist team and the car colors, which refer directly to the most famous McLaren’s car of the history. However, few know that the character Nemo Moreno, played by the Chilean actor Christián Dela Fuente would be a tribute by director Renny Harlin. Secondary in the plot, Nemo is Brazilian and even calls Stallone’s as “amigo”.

2- The Terminal

The charismatic foreign detained at the airport, played by Tom Hanks, used to bathe in the bathroom’s sinks throughout the period in which he was required to stay there. The towel that he wore brought Ayrton Senna’s stamp, a very symbolic and fun tribute.

3- Senna (2010)

This documentary about our champion is so dynamic that we could mistake it with a full-length Hollywood movie. There is no file or fuller item made until now to know better the life and art of Ayrton Senna on the slopes. Impossible to watch without a thrill!

4-Iron Man 3 (2013)

Pepper Polts, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, laments the ruin (and possible death) of Iron Man, falling into a deep cry as soon as she takes the hero’s helmet in the rubble. This scene is a reproduction of what happened in the Ayrton Senna’s funeral, when his sister Viviane Senna held his helmet against the face. A simple tribute created by the director Shane Black to our eternal champion!

5- Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

Early in the movie, there is an easter egg: Chris Evans (Captain America) opens a notebook containing a list of important things he lost while was hibernating. The top of that list, of course, is Ayrton Senna (at the Brazilian version of the movie).

6- Praia do Futuro (2014)

In this movie directed by Karim Aïnouz, there is a character named Ayrton, in tribute to Senna. According to the director, the personality of movie’s Ayrton was built upon heroic figures, and our triple champion was one of the foundations that helped to establish this character.
