A series of livestreams will be held on the Ayrton Senna official Facebook and YouTube profiles this Friday, featuring members of the Senna family, journalists, drivers, friends of Ayrton, fans and the Senninha character.

May 1st will be marked by several tributes to Ayrton Senna. This Friday, a series of livestreams will take place on the three-time F1 champion’s official social media profiles, featuring special guests, such as drivers, friends, journalists and members of the Senna family. Four blocks of conversations are scheduled, both on Facebook and YouTube, starting at 10 AM, noon, 4 PM and 6 PM.

“Obviously, we’d like to host a big event in honor of Ayrton [Senna], like we did last year, in Interlagos, when more the 20 thousand people attended Senna Day. Unfortunately, it will not be possible, due to current circumstances, but we are sure it will be just as special to share many of his stories on social media, whether through livestreams or through the fan-made tributes in the My Ayrton campaign”, says Bianca Senna, Ayrton’s niece and CEO of Senna Brands.

The series of videos starts at 10 AM, with already confirmed appearances by F1 drivers, like Rubens Barichello, who raced with Senna in 1993 and 1994; and the new generation of Brazilian drivers in the category, test driver Pietro  Fittipaldi (Haas) and backup driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (Red Bull). Journalists who have followed Senna’s journey in F1, like Reginaldo Leme and Galvão Bueno, will also be present.

At noon, there will be a special segment with the Senna family, featuring Ayrton’s sister, Viviane, and his nephew and nice, Bruno and Bianca Senna, who will share memories of their childhood alongside their uncle. Senninha, the character inspired by the three-time F1 world champion, will also join the livestream to interact with the audience and the people on camera.

At 4 PM, the main subject will be Senna’s career in karting, the category in which the driver had the most fun. And, wrapping up the day-long series of livestreams on Senna´s official Facebook and YouTube channels, guests of the 6 PM chat will be fans of the driver who were at Interlagos to cheer him on back in the day.

The audience is also invited to take part in the special programming in honor of Ayrton – all they have to do is sum up their admiration for their idol in one word, by completing the sentence “My Ayrton is…” This will mark the end of the #MyAyrton campaign, which started on May 1st 2019.

The tributes will also take place on TV – SporTV will be airing historic GPs in full, like Senna’s win at the 1993 Brazilian GP, besides shows dedicated to Ayrton, like Baú do Esporte and Túnel do Tempo, and the award-winning documentary “Senna”, by director Asif Kapadia.

On the Sunday following May 1st, Globo TV will broadcast a special about Ayrton Senna’s first F1 world title, including the 1988 Japanese GP, which took place at Suzuka.
