Bianca Senna receives the first of 161 units specially manufactured to honor the Ayrton Senna’s 20-year legacy

The Ayrton Senna Institute has received the Panigale S Senna #001 motorcycle specially created to celebrate Ayrton Senna’s 20-year legacy. The delivery ceremony took place on September 12th, at the Institute’s headquartes, in São Paulo, Brazil. “It’s really good to count on this partnership to celebrate Ayrton Senna’s 20-year legacy. Ayrton loved speed, and one of his treasures was a Ducati”, says Bianca Senna, niece of the three-time F1 world champion and the one tasked with receiving the bike from Ricardo Susini, managing director of Ducati do Brasil.

Each Ducati 1199 Panigale S costs R$ 100 thousand and the special edition consists of only 161 units – the number of races Ayrton Senna competed in during his F1 career – specially manufactured to a select group of Brazilian collectors. Part of the income from the sales will go to the Ayrton Senna Institute’s educational programs.

The 1199 S Senna has a 195 hp engine, a dry weight of 367 lb, all four Ducati Riding Modes,
Ducati Safety Pack and Ducati Eletronic Suspension, DDA+ (Ducati Data Analysis) wth GPS, additional carbon-fiber components, full LED headlights and Termignoni Titanium exhaust tip, among other features.

According to Susini, the launch is a watershed moment for the Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer in Brazil. “Ayrton Senna was one of the greatest national idols and a big Ducati fan. With the 1199 Panigale S, we not only honor him, but also contribute to the legacy he left behind: the Ayrton Senna Institute and its educational projects”, says the executive.
