The McLaren supercar – created in a partnership with the Senna brand – is one of the highlights of Forza Horizon 4, a Microsoft game that will be launched on October 2.
The success that the McLaren Senna has been experiencing on the track will soon continue on one of the most celebrated racing videogames in the world: Forza Horizon 4. The game will be launched on October 2, for the Microsoft Xbox One and Windows 10. The official announcement took place last month, in Los Angeles (USA), at E3, the biggest gaming expo in the world.
Besides being featured on the game’s cover art, the McLaren Senna is already a highlight of the demo version, in which players can drive three of the cars that will be available in the game. According to the early word from gamers, the McLaren Senna is extremely fast and enables an unprecedented experience in the game’s several tracks – all of them in the UK. The graphics, sounds and other effects of the McLaren Senna are also highlights of Forza Horizon 4. The game features 450 cars from more than 100 manufacturers, besides a great variety of landscapes and weather conditions.
The executive director of global sales and marketing for McLaren Automotive, Jolyon Nash, believes that the presence of the McLaren Senna on Forza horizon 4 – which is a Microsoft exclusive title – is a good way to introduce the car to new audiences.
“Videogames are getting more and more immersive, and our relationship with Forza has been a powerful tool to increase the brand’s notoriety, and show what makes the McLaren cars so special. Very few people will have the chance to drive the McLaren Senna, but now this new audience [the gamers] will experience the thrill of driving the car on the virtual tracks of Great Britain”, says Jolyon.
The McLaren Senna was launched in December of 2017 as the first car ever to bear the SENNA brand. It’s a road car with racing DNA. The machine weighs 1,198 kg, and goes from 0 to 120 mph in just 6.8 seconds, with a top speed of 211 mph. A three-time F1 world champion, Ayrton Senna won his titles in the main category of motor sports as a McLaren driver (1988, 1990 and 1991).
