In July 2014, Ayrton Senna received yet another homage for his 20-year legacy. To celebrate the driver’s history, designers Marcio Petta and Antonello Napolione created a special 5 Euro coin bearing Senna’s likeness along with the FW16 Williams racecar – the last one driven by the Brazilian in F1.
8,000 units of the collector’s edition were put up for sale. It was commissioned by the San Marino Autonomous State Agency for Philately and Numismatics, which also created a series of special stamps in honor of the three-time champion’s career.
