British driver Lewis Hamilton was given a special award in honor of his third F1 world-title: the Ayrton Senna trophy, conceived by artist Wilson Iguti, and granted by the Ayrton Senna Institute to people who make great achievements in motor sports and who support the Brazilian driver’s legacy.

The Senna family prepared a surprise for Hamilton during his exclusive interview to TV Globo (a Brazilian network) that aired last Sunday, a few moments before the start of the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix. After getting the trophy from presenter Glenda Kozlowski, the Mercedes driver was visibly moved, and said: “This is going to be my favorite trophy”.
