In partnership with the Senna family, through Senna Brands, Scuderia AlphaTauri F1 driver Pierre Gasly announced the launch of a 1:2 scale model, of his special edition helmet worn at the 2020 F1 Imola GP in honor of his idol, Ayrton Senna.

The model was created with the approval of the Senna family, whilst the original helmet will be auctioned, the 1:2 scale model can be purchased on Gasly’s official website in partnership with the Senna Foundation.

“I did this special helmet for Ayrton because I’ve always been a big, big fan of Senna since I was a kid. He was one of my idols, and in my opinion, the greatest driver of all time. It’s an honour to partner with the Senna family to raise funds for the work they do in memory of him”, said Gasly, who conquered his first F1 victory at Monza last year.

Designed with resemblance to Ayrton’s iconic classic design, the helmet is colored in yellow and green to denote Ayrton’s Brazilian roots, alongside a beautiful “Senna Sempre” memorial as the central focus at the top. The original helmet is due to be auctioned in the coming months, as soon as there is the possibility of events of this type, due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

The mini helmet, will be launched so that fans can also participate in this tribute. The model, an exact replica of the Imola helmet to 1:2 scale, will be available to purchase worldwide from http://pierregaslyshop.com. The 1:2 scale mini helmet will be on sale February 5th, for €180 euros with profits donated to the Senna Foundation.

“We were very honored with this tribute and, when Pierre (Gasly) came to us, we were sure that it would be a great way for the fans to also be able to participate in this action done by him in Imola last year. It is very gratifying to see how new generation F1 drivers admire Ayrton (Senna) and help us to perpetuate his legacy for the youngest ones”, said Bianca Senna, CEO of Senna Brands.
