Ayrton Senna became the European Formula Ford champion at Jyllandsring, Denmark, in August 22, 1982. But there was still one race to go in the continental tournament, which would take place at Mondello Park, Ireland, on September 12.
Ayrton started on the first row, driving his classic yellow Van Diemen. Next to him, Joey Greenan in a red race car. They fought an exciting battle during the first few laps, but Senna soon distanced himself and won with a comfortable lead.
