In another King of Monaco chapter, Ayrton Senna achieved his second win in the Monte Carlo Circuit, one of the biggest highlights of the 1989 season.
The season contested before March 26 and November 5 was more balanced, until the accident involving Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. The controversial “chicane cut” took Senna’s victory, disqualifying him from the race and ending his chance of challenging the world title in the Australian Grand Prix, the last Grand Prix of the season.
