1990
Ayrton Senna was the world champion by McLaren in 1990, conquering the 6th title for the team. Senna achieved the two-time championship in Suzuka, the same circuit where, one year earlier, he was disqualified. This time, Ayrton took the trophy with a duty accomplished feeling after his great performance in the season.
The 6 victories and the world title weren’t the Brazilian driver’s only achievements that year. In a bet with Ron Dennis, Ayrton also won a McLaren MP4/5B after beating Alain Prost’s favored Ferrari at Monza.
